JASON KESSLER
I have worked with recording engineer Al Grunwell for 20 years. In that time I have produced four finished CDs, one of which received a very good review from Acoustic Guitar Magazine. The quality of the recordings and mixes stand up to the very best recordings produced by the finest audiophile record labels.

Al did wonderful work researching the acoustic of the chapel, choosing to attend a number of our rehearsals to get a sense of the optimal microphone set-up in advance. He was very responsive to my aesthetic ideas about the recording; for our purposes, I wanted an archival recording that would have some "room noise" and be the equivalent of being present at the live performance. Al did a terrific job with this, and the finished product is of excellent quality.

BRUCE RYDER
"No doubt Alfred Grunwell is a seasoned recording engineer, but I think of him as a true friend. He has been an inspiration to me both musically and spiritually. When I felt like giving up, he has encouraged me to continue. When I've had problems, he has not hesitated to offer support. God bless you Al, 'cause you've been a blessing to me!"

RAY REPP
Dear Al,

Just a note to let you know how much you have enhanced my professional recording career. How many albums have you helped me with? - I’ve lost count. Always you have made what could have been a tense situation a comfortable experience. Your expertise in helping me co-produce sessions, and organize musical arrangements, has been invaluable. You even came through loud and strong as a vocal coach on several of my recordings. Something I couldn’t have done by myself.
Lastly, your help in restoring my earlier recordings to a pristine digitized format was astounding. Keep up the good work so many others can be grateful as well.
Best wishes,
Ray Repp

Recording music is a personal task that requires a creative and comforting environment. Working at FLREC gave me all of that while I was putting together my last album. After a few fumbles at other studios, I came to FLREC, where Alfred was able to pick up the pieces, rerecord what needed rerecording and remix the tracks I brought him. He worked with my budget and gave the utmost attention to my project. I loved the whole experience!

Al was recently the recording engineer for the dedication recital I presented on the new organ at First Presbyterian Church -- the recording was selected for broadcast on the National Public Radio Pipe Dreams program.

Alfred B Grunwell is a master audio engineer. I have used his services both for live recordings and editing recordings done in New York City. He's courteous, fair, reliable, and highly skilled. I completely trust his judgement about recordings. I wish he operated his business in New York City.

Al's a great engineer to work with. He's got an
intrinsic way of listening to my wants and desires, and then magically dialing
what I want right in, with full excitement. The turn around time on projects is
faster than I can keep up to! Thanks Al.
