Don't let the lack of musicians stand in the way of getting your song recorded! We have the talent - and the technology - to create a song from a lead sheet with chords, melody and lyrics or even a simple voice/guitar or voice/piano demo recording. Or we can 'fill out' an existing song with additional arranging ideas and instrumentation.

Just how do we "make-a-song"? Well, here's one way (and there are many others) that we do it:

Al recorded the Singer/Songwriter David Linhart in a solo performance at Cornell University. After bringing the tracks home and listening to them, Al thought it might be a good idea to try some full band arrangements with David's songs.

So, he asked Charlie Shew to add instrumentation to the solo performance. Because of todays music technology, and some sensitivity to the original performance, we were able to take this original recording:

Then have Charlie play all the instruments and Al mix and turn it into this:

Or, here's another example. This original demo featuring lead singer Carol King (not the one who had all the hits) was recorded using a basic MIDI keyboard:

The song has now been taken from the original demo and reworked into a full arrangement. Voila!
